Effective January 1st, 2020 the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) gives California residents certain rights over their personal information, including the right to know about the personal data being collected about them and whether companies are selling that information.
Credit Karma does not sell your personal information to third parties.
As a financial services company, Credit Karma is subject to rigorous financial privacy laws that protect the personal information of our members, such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act, the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and Driver’s Privacy Protection Act. The CCPA recognizes that information already protected by those laws, such as your personal credit information, is not covered by the CCPA.
If you are a California resident and would like to submit a request, you will be able to do so starting January 1st, 2020. We will do our best to fulfill your request, subject to the exemptions described above.
