How can I change my email address?

There are two ways to update your email address on the site. If you have a verified email, please click here and follow these directions. 

If you are able to log into your Credit Karma account:

  1. Click here to go to security settings.

  2. Enter your new email address twice along with your password. Then click “Save.”

  3. Use your new email address when you log into Credit Karma in the future.

If you are not able to log into your Credit Karma account:

This can happen if you forget your password and no longer have access to the email address associated with your account. If this is the case, you have two options.

Option 1: Replace your existing Credit Karma account.

  1. To get started, click here on the desktop site and scroll down to the section that says, “Replace Your Existing Account.”

  2. Enter the email address associated with your original account (not your new email address), your date of birth and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

  3. Click the “Replace My Account” button to complete the process.

Please be sure that you are on the desktop site, the replacement process is not compatible with mobile.

Please keep in mind that if you choose this option, you’ll lose access to the score history that’s associated with your old account.

Option 2: Verify your identity by sending us documentation.

If you’d like us to change your email address, but don’t want to create a new account, please send us the following documents so we can verify your identity. (We know it’s a bit of a hassle, but we take security seriously!)

  1. If you'd like to continue, please download, complete and return the attached form with the requested documentation.

  2. The downloadable PDF is located at the bottom of this page on the desktop site.

Once I receive these documents, I can reset your password for you and send a new temporary password to the email address associated with your active account.

For security reasons, please do not send your personal information or documentation by e-mail.
