If you’ve placed a freeze on your credit reports, you can still register for Credit Karma.
While credit freezes generally restrict access to your credit reports in order to help you protect your credit, they will not restrict you from uploading approved documents to our online ID verification system so you can register for a Credit Karma account.
How do I submit my ID for verification?
You can upload your driver’s license or state ID here.
If you’re having trouble uploading your documentation, reach out to our Member Support team here.
What if I have a bypass code or temporary lift?
Though you may be able to temporarily remove a freeze for other purposes, like applying for credit, a bypass code or temporary lift will not work on Credit Karma’s site.
What if I remove the security freeze?
Once you remove the freeze, you should be able to register for a brand-new account on Credit Karma. If you receive a notification that your email address is already in use, simply submit a help request, and we’ll help you clear that up.
I’m already registered. Can I put a security freeze on my reports and still use Credit Karma?
Once you’re already registered, you can add a security freeze to your reports without affecting your Credit Karma account. Security freezes only block your access to Credit Karma during the registration process.
