What is the maximum amount of Earned Income Credit (EIC) I can qualify for?

Your eligibility for the Earned Income Credit and the amount you can receive is based on your Earned Income, filing status and other factors, including the number of qualifying children you have.

If your Earned Income is less than the qualifying limit for your filing status, the maximum amount of EIC you can receive for Tax Year 2017 is:

  • $6,318 with three or more qualifying children.
  • $5,616 with two qualifying children.
  • $3,400 with one qualifying child.
  • $510 with no qualifying children.
