#Good news! The IRS has extended the tax deadline to April 18th! As long as you submit your federal return by midnight on 4/18/2018, you won't be considered a late filer for your federal return. Direct debit tax payments that are submitted with your federal return (or on the IRS website) by 4/18 are also considered timely filed ×

The tax year has already ended, can I still contribute to a Roth IRA?

Yes. There is still time to bump up contributions to your Roth IRA accounts for the 2017 tax year, even after January has come and gone, you just have to do so before the April tax filing deadline.

A good tip is to be clear with your IRA provider the year you want the contribution to be applied to when depositing.
