What’s the maximum amount of the dependent care credit?

The amount of expenses used to calculate this credit is the larger of the amount you paid out of pocket, or $3,000 for one qualifying person or $6,000 for two or more qualifying persons. The credit amount is equal to 20% to 35% of the expenses you paid out of pocket, dependent on your income, which means the max credit for one qualifying person is $1,050 and $2,100 for two or more qualifying individuals.
