Will using Credit Karma lower my credit score?

No. Using Credit Karma does not lower your credit score.

When Credit Karma gets your credit score, we request the information on your behalf. This is known as a soft inquiry. Soft inquiries do not impact your score because you are using it as personal reference and not to apply for a new line of credit.

Hard inquiries, on the other hand, can influence your credit score. They’re typically placed on your report when you apply for a new line of credit.
